Stetson is a 6 year old female spayed Jack Russell Terrier. She is a medium sized rough coated Jack, approximately 12 3/4” tall and weighing 14lbs.. She is a sweet, people loving dog. Stetson is extremely content to curl up on the couch with you as you watch your favorite shows, or run for a tossed ball in the backyard. She enjoys walks too.
Stetson currently isn’t comfortable in our home life situation and that is the only reason I am looking for a fabulous home for her. I have 4 dogs and enjoy dog sports with them. Stetson is in training for some of those dog sports but seems to stress under the pressure of performance. It could just be the dynamics of my pack but Stetson, I feel would be happiest in a home where she is the only dog and getting all the attention . Like most JRTs, Stetson doesn’t do well with my other female JRT. Stetson needs to go to a home with no other dogs, ideally. I don't know how she would get along with a cat but think that it would be best to have no cats as she is a JRT. She is housebroken and trained to hit a doggie doorbell to signal her desire to go outside. She is also crate trained.
Medically, Stetson is in good health. She does suffer from allergies which often times give her a pink hue in the evening. I have not gotten her definitively tested to see what she is actually allergic too. Since often times kibble is the cause of some allergies, I switched her to the raw diet. Stetson enjoys many human grade food items. Currently, she is enjoying a banana for breakfast and a chicken wing or turkey neck for dinner.
